From today's Daily Star. Full interview in May's Q. Turn Up The Sun “A bit like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. A stomper.”
Mucky Fingers “Imagine Bob Dylan singing Waiting For The Man with that frantic drumbeat.”
Lyla “Our poppiest thing since Roll With It. Annoyingly catchy. A bit like The Who.”
Love Like A Bomb “One of Liam’s. It starts off acoustic and Martin Duffy of Primal Scream plays this kind of country piano solo.”
The Importance Of Being Idle “A cross between The Kinks and The La’s about being a lazy fucker.”
The Meaning Of Soul “Like Elvis on crack. We played it at Glastonbury like The Stooges.”
Stop The Clocks “Been around for a long time but might not make it. A debate’s going on.”
Part Of The Queue “One of mine with a weird 3/4 rhythm that’s a bit Shack doing Love.”
Keep The Dream Alive “A song by Andy that’s like The Stone Roses.”
Guess God Thinks I’m Abel “A Liam tune that’s kind of slowish and acoustic.”
A Bell Will Ring “Gem wrote it. It’s the closest anybody’s got to sounding like Revolver.”
Let There Be Love “We both sing, like the Self-Righteous Brothers. It’s a fitting anthem to finish off the record.”
Sounds pretty good ;D And Stop The Clocks still has a chance of going on there

Sounds very promising ...
I hope that "stop the clocks" is on it also ... Guess it will be on the album, just like some kind of surprise, and now there just spreading around they are debating ... to confuse the fans or something I think this album is gonna sound great and i think it's gonna be a bit like Morning Glory crossing Heathen Chemistry or something, it least it looks like it, lookin' at the comments ...
we'll see ...

Let there Be Love with Noel AND Liam singing, sounds interesting, the demo has the makings of a good song but is a bit repetitive, a few changes here and there and it could be a very good song to end the album.
Sounds like a slight change in direction but I'm very much looking forward to the album, hopefully Lyla will get plenty of attention for the band!

Stop The Clocks “Been around for a long time but might not make it. A debate’s going on.”
And Stop The Clocks still has a chance of going on there its very interseting that this was supposed to be the best tune since WONDERWALL ...and now there is a debate as to whether it will make the cut? hopefully its because its so good that they want to hold it back for the new label, cause if not then its just weird that the vsong we have been hearin about all this time cannot be mastered right to put out

Finally! Another duet! I've been waiting for that for a long time. Acquiesce was brilliant and hopefully this one is even more epic since it actually made the album. And I'm crossing my fingers for Stop the Clocks.

And I'm crossing my fingers for Stop the Clocks. Me too I think that would be simply amazing, but maybe he meant a duet such as in Cast No Shadow, but I'm really hoping it's the Acquiesce's way!

the best song noel ever wrote in his opinion (and to many) was a b-side to wonderwall, so you never know. but the masterplan wasnt written in time for the album or somethin according to noel , he sat down in japan to write a b-side and he wrote that

the best song noel ever wrote in his opinion (and to many) was a b-side to wonderwall, so you never know. true enough ..but i said that NOEL had been told it was the best tune he had done since "wonderwall",even if masterplan (which i think is his best) is included its still weird as to why the tune thats been touted by NOEL to be the best since the "wonderweall"" masterplan" era did not make the cut

Webby, why didn't you include the comments about Stop the Clocks on the Main Page?
I think Noel wants it on there since he keeps calling it 12 track. Usually if you say your album has twelve tracks you're not talking about any bonus bit.

Yeah I find it a bit strange too... all these songs that were spose to be on the album now arent? Noel also said something before about how he played stop the clocks to a bunch of friends and they thought it was great while they thought wonderwall was average! which kinda means stop the clocks would be better? lets all just hope it makes the cut... also crossing fingers for let there be love, great acoustic tune, probably even better reworked. Only thing on the album that Im not too excited about is part of the queue... a song with 3/4 rhythm and involves cuban percussionists??? the more we know about this song the weirder it gets

What comment about stop the clocks In this thread, there's a comment on stop the clocks. Everything else on the internet doesn't show Noel's comment on Stop the Clocks... Webby, why isn't it on the main page?
