hey guys, i was thinking about this today. technically, what did 'the ear has no memory' mean. thats not a common phrase. i cant understand what it means. i guess noel made it up. personally, i think it sounds cool as hell.

Technically its bollocks....
It means you can cut your ears off and put them in your hard drive and go onto 'ear drive' i think its the E:\ and it will show nothing because....the ear has no memory.
In other words.....I aint got a fucking clue. Probably a good song though.

Um, let's see what I can come up with...
It means that no matter how many songs you think you've heard from the new album (LTBL, ABWR, TMOS), or how many songs you think you know what they sound like, simply because you don't care for the name of the song or immediately associate it with another unrelated song by an unrelated artist (Lyla != Layla) just because the name's sort of similar, what you think you've heard and what you think you know doesn't mean shit.
THE EAR HAS NO MEMORY! The new album is going to rock all our asses off, the stuff we've heard is going to sound 1000 times better in the studio with a healthy Liam and the stuff we haven't heard is going to exceed all our expectations.
Let's not base our first opinions on the new album on our "ears' memory".
