Am I missing something. I read on board after board how it was terrible and this is a really bad sign. Then I downloaded the demo from the SOTSOG sessions.
It didn't sound so bad at all. I mean, yeah, it seemed pretty unfinished and repetitive, but it seemed to have promise, and I'm sure if they worked on it for a number of years it'll be great. I mean, I love "Roll It Over," but would that song have sounded very good if it were just Noel and his guitar? Even "Champagne Supernova," wouldn't have worked if it were just Noel and his acoustic.
I'm willing to wait till the album comes out. Didn't Billy Corgan and Ian Brown both say it was excellent?

yes, i think billy really rather loves oasis. i think the smashing pumpkins song 'ava adore' is really good, even though i don't really like the band much. it was right when billy began his oasis phase, it would seem.

I think your right badger... I just got a copy of the song... and its pretty damn good! People are judging the acoustic of let there be love and they're worried? it's playing for the first time right now as I'm posting... and I'm liking it more and more So Im gonna have faith in Noel, Ian Brown and Billy Corgan

"Let There Be Love" is also the opening track on The Bee Gee's 1968 album Idea. Noel actually pinched part of "When the Swallows Fly" from the same album for All Around The World, maybe he will steal from The Bee Gees again.
