For Christ's sake, Oasis needs to hire a new drummer and just stick with him, be it Zak Starkey or whoever. I can't stand bands that use session players on their albums. I wish Whitey were still in the band, he was a good shit.

He's played with Tom Petty and Chris Isaak so that's good to know.
I think they need a regluar drummer, certainly, but this may have been a good idea even if they did have one.

I mean ex- Smashing pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin is great. Just a thought

i'm not sure lenny castro qualifies as a "session" drummer. i mean, he has his own percussive style named after him, so i'd think of this more as a collaboration or him as a guest performer. "session" player sounds so shoddy. this guy is a star in the percussion underworld. cheers to the band for doing something--anything-- unexpected

The guy isnt playing the drums, he's a percussionist laying down bongo's and the like on top of who ever is playing the actual drums.
