Just before i let rip Id like to say im a massive Oasis fan and im not just some little Williams fan looking for a fight
Firstly what the fuck is with the title of the album DBTT? i know other famous bands had strange titles eg Sgt Peppers but Thats just lame and dumb
is it supposed to be meaningfull and the lads thought it was cool. Its not cool.
Then all the song titles Lyla sounds like Layla( Classic) and seems like another excuse for people to slag Noel off as a untalented wannabe then theres all the other crap titles Turn up the sun, Mucky fingers
Where the fucks Stop the Clocks. It may have been renamed but if it did its now a crap title. And if the lyrics are as good as the titles then i expect something on par with a mainstream psychedelic emo Japanese mime band with members all called Viktor
Then Liam looks like a fuckwit in the press releases. What the fuck is with his hair he looks like a Scallie with 1 brain cell who live under the tables at an interet cafe. Geeky man
Then theres those 2 peices of dog shit the lads tried to pass off as songs at Glasto.If they have them on the album whats the rest gonna be like.

well song titles usually represent what a song is saying
look at the titles with DM and MG.....short and precise songs...
as time went on the songs just became longer and more general
these track names are ULTRA VAGUE and quite cheesy..
just a thought......

globey just a thought..if we had a "life" we would not be typin 1800 odd posts like you or 1000 odd posts like me  ;D.....its the love of the band that makes us so particular about everything we hear (lp titles,song titles ,hair styles) thats why me girlfriend always mad at me.and ps i am way worse than you cause my 1000odd posts are in a much shorter time so i truly have no life ...other than steady sex ,great drinkin ,gym.,this forum....actually i like my life  ;D |

Perthboy is a whiny bastard. What's a good song title Perthboy, you idiot twat? Perhaps you could give everyone some brilliant song titles- but I'm sure the tunes would be unforgivably shite if you had anything to do with the writing.
If you look at past Oasis song titles they really are no indication of how good or bad the tune is.
Surely Gas Panic! and The Hindu Times are two of the worst song titles ever, but top songs anyway.
My theory is that the more pretentious or stupid a song title is the better the tune actually is.
Case in point- Champagne Supernova, The Masterplan, Live Forever. It's kind of like, "with a title like Champagne Supernova it better be fookin top!"
With these song titles The Importance of Being Idle, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel I think they set the bar pretty high. One, a dreadful Oscar Wilde pun, the other arrogant self praise. They will be mega then I suspect.
Btw contrary to what assboy says Don't Believe the Truth and Turn Up the Sun are rather good titles.
Perthboy can hold out hope for more pleasing song titles, I'll hold out for top tunes.

As far as song titles go....
When I first heard song titles like Honky Tonk Woman by the stones I thought that sounds shit.....and I thought the song would be shit....but guess again, song titles take you by suprise sometimes.
So dont judge a book by its cover.

Oi, I see that ive annoyed some of you
BUT i was'nt havin a go at what the songs were and i wasnt prejudging the album
The only songs i had a go at were the ones id heard like everybody else TMOS and ABWR and you gotta admit they werent up to scratch with Oasis's past output
It wasnt a fuckin personal attack on any of you unlike some members replies
But maybe it should have been after seeing all vaginay replies It was my opinion and if you dont like it go fuck yaself

i'm not sure i like the album name, but i agree that song names don't mean shite ( final outcome of the song) ... i wished i had the album playing right now so we could argue on ABWR and Meaning of Soul... i think these songs, specially ABWR will be great recorded on studio,though not particularly good live...
