what happend to the song stop the clocks. it was ment to be one of the best songs noel had wrote and its not on the new albulms track listing, anyone know?

it's not on the album, so it might be a b-side or they'll just save it for the seventh album.

it's not on the album, so it might be a b-side or they'll just save it for the seventh album. i dont think it will be a b side (jmo) but i was thinkin the same thing about holdin it back for the 7th lp. NOEL did say he didnt want to leave sony makin a ton of cash by doin a double lp ,maybe he feels these 11 songs are good enough for a succesful 6th lp and then on the new label release the "best track since wonderwall" ...food for thought |

he will have changed the name , 100% sure , cant see him saving it , after the anti climax of all around the world , to avoid the hype he will have changed the name, cus the words stop the clocks arnt even in it are they? , not sure lyrics have been posted i think

can't help ya with the lyrics, but I can definitely see him just holding the song till they're off of Sony seems to be some bad blood there, and Noel would be a fool to drop one of "the best songs he's writen" with a shity label. Or maybe the album was already packed with some good tunes and he just felt that he didn't want to have another WTSMG where there was a lot of good songs all on one album. He maybe trying to spread the good songs out in order to draw more attention to their latter albums. Noel may have realized that this lp will be the shit and didn't want to play all his cards too early.

lol we're all hoping it is  i recall noel saying that he played this song to the people who thought wonderwall was average... and they thought it was fantastic surely that kinda quality of music is a-side quality! we'll just have to see what happens when the album (or more news) is released |

Yeah but Noel occasionally has some funny ideas about his songs.
Remember when back in 95, 96 he was raving about All Around The World?
Then when everyone heard it we were like - "But that's not a patch on some of your other stuff!"
I reckon it's like others have said and he's perhaps holding it back for the next album - or a one-off single in between the two a la Whatever?

noel has claimed importance of being idle for himself. he claimed it was his favourite song from the album at the time of the interview...
stop the clock and importance of being idle seem to be along the same theme so hmmmm?

"Hidden tracks" are such a lame idea IMO..
You would get "let there be love" with a running time of 29 minutes or something stupid then you get a 2 minute instrumental right at the end of it for your trouble!
Things like that put abit of a dampner on Heathen Chemistry for me, same as the way certain songs are mixed into over-lapping!!?
Its so Un-Oasis... "stop the Clocks" should be a MEGA B-side like the ones we used to get back in the DM/MG era!! ;D
