DBTT tracklisting revealed! DON’T BELIEVE THE TRUTH - THE TRACK LISTING REVEALED! 16 March 2005 Oasis have confirmed the track listing for their highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’, released on May 30th 2005 on Big Brother Recordings. The first single from the album will be ‘Lyla’ released on May 16th. Noel Gallagher describes the track as “the Soundtrack of our Lives doing The Who on Skol in a psychedelic city in the sky (or something!)” He continues, “while ‘Part Of The Queue’ doesn’t sound remotely like anything we’ve ever done before. Legendary Cuban percussionist Lenny Castro shuffles up a storm. Amazing.” concluding “’The Meaning Of Soul’ is simply “Elvis on Red Bull”. No place for Stop The Clocks which is interesting.
I'm disappointed that after 3 years of writing they put "Let there be Love" onto an 11 song tracklist. Pleased to see A Bell Will Ring there, less so to see Meaning of the Soul. Ahh well we'll see in time...

In the last interview he said that there were 12 songs but that it was a song too long...so he had made it perfect! I worrie about Stop the clocks...and I also would have preferred Solve my mistery instead of Let there be love. Surely it has been redone!

Ya know Noel always says that the music sounds like a bunch of bands put together but most of the time it doesn't. I just think he was thinking about a band at the time he's writing the song so he says it sounds like them.

i sit and pray that the meanin of soul will be a far different song on DBTT than was previewed at Glasto. If TMOS was better than all the other 50 odd songs they had in the locker that didnt make DBTT, then creativity Oasis must be at a nadir. Its gonna be another 'Little James' It had better be MUCH different otherwise this album is gonna get panned left, right and centre...

Well, well well, everybody's actually talkin''bout fried air on the forum. No-one has heard the album yet. let's just wait for another couple of days till we all find out if this album is a good one or a shite one. I'm afraid a lot of people are expecting a whole new kind of Oasis. A album that overrules DM or WTSMG ... I can imagine those feelin's, cos we al waited for so long, but i think our expectations are to high.
and uhm ... i was thinkin' ... everything Noel tells us ... they might be lies .. he told us ... "Don't Believe The Truth" ... Somehow i feel there is some kind of suprise waitin'for us, aldo i don't know what kind of suprise..
For me ... i take the album title as a advice ... till i heard the album. Cos that album is gonna tell us the reaaaalll truth ...
well, cya !

i guess its a good thing your not a "critic" ,good to see you have faith in the lads i have faith man. i just finished tappin in my card details to cd-wow to pre-order a copy of DBTT. all im sayin is that the version of TMOS that was aired at Glasto was uninspiring and crap and I think that is a pretty fair assessment. lyrically its fine but melodically weak. By Noel's admission Oasis have another 50+ songs in reserve that could have made this album. So why TMOS? Ill reserve judgement on it but if that version is on the album it WILL be massacred by the musical press, just like little james was.

hmm what about "I stand Alone".
I thought this was a song going to be on the album? Noel said in some interview that he wanted it to be the first single but liam didnt want to have a first single without him singing on it.
