top two reasons you haven't voted for your favourite bands and oasis songs... 1 You are sick of subjective, inane, and pointless polls... yeah, i can totally see your arguement...half my posts are replies to 'which song is better' and 'lennon vs mccartney' merry-go-rounds...but still this thread has the potential to give us something a little bit more...even with barely twenty votes a neat pattern is beginning to form (esp. in the band catagory) that sheds some interesting light on the influences and tastes of our little community. 2 You are not a member and can not respond. Come and join us. Getting in is painless. And it is free. FREE. And not only will your voice be heard but your free (FREE) membership will also grant you access to one of the coolest places on the web...the sound and vision room. once you get in there you'll be just like our kid in a drug store...with lots of cool people sharing tons of boots and demos and curios...stuff like this... s27.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0GSWJWTUAEYMB385EP9DA449P6(a thirty second clip of a song called have fun that noel recorded in 1988- six years before--def maybe) all right, the results so far for band 18 votes 1 beatles -18 2 oasis-16 3 stones-6 4 (tie) who and floyd -5 for song 16 votes 1 (tie) live forever, champagne supernova -11 3 slideaway- 6 4 don't look back in anger-5 5 four songs with 4 votes

robert johnson, the king of the delta blues, wrote and recorded 29 songs in the mid 1930's.
according to legend, johnson went to the crossroads and made a deal with the devil...where he sold his soul to be infused with demonic skill with the guitar.
he was a direct influence on the chicago blues (muddy waters, howling wolf, etc) and his work has been covered by led zeppelin, the stones, cream, lynrd skynard, clapton among many others.
he was killed in 1936, when a jealous husband poisoned his whisky, after he wouldn't stop flirting with his wife.
His song 32-20 Blues is the most harrowing song ever put on wax.
Last year Clapton put out a cd of johnson covers. It was good but seek out the originals (just him and his acoustic.)
okay. that is the last time i pull this thread up to the top.
now its up to you. vote or sentence this thread to an early demise.
