I'm all right with Zak being the drummer as long as he takes some time of to study the songs and learn all the drum fills that alan would do. He can do all the fills I just don't know why he didn't at glastonbury. with the Who he's clearly a top drummer, so this should be a good tour.

1 thing about ZAK being on tour with them in the usa is its another great move publicity wise..first they get k rock to back them ..then they sell out msg.. by naming him the us drummer it WILL get them some notority on classic rock stations and papers as ZAK is well regarded here for his beatle lineage...it can only help in gettin the boys more attention ...now lets hope he keeps the beat steady

don't hate on zak- he only played TWO gigs with oasis. let me repeat that: TWO gigs.
you'd imagine your first show with a band as huge as oasis wouldn't be the best show in the world. but how about this: YOU try playing GLASTONBURY with a band you only played one gig with previously. i don't know about you, but in front of 130,000 people, playing with a band i had little experience with, i'd be scared as hell.

Alan did exactly that in 1995 mate. I dont hate Zak, but Alans drumming is much more groovier. Like I've said before, there is no way Zak coulda played Wonderwall or DLBIA the way Alan did. Starkey should stick to The Who (who I love by the way) and stay out of Oasis.

and all i'm saying is that we haven't given him a chance yet- he only played two shows with oasis. we need to see, and will see when this tour really kicks in, if he's right for the group.

I totally agree with you. Yeah, we´ll see how it goes...Let´s give him a change. Glastonbury wasn´t so great, but in some songs he did exellent job! Like Bring it on down and My generation. I hope that, he gets more speed after rehearsing, because some songs were still quite awful. my first post here
