Oasis have done quite well in the states. Their tours of north america usually sell out. Their album sales may not be great, but once they hit the road here it's completely different. The fans always come out.

To my knowledge Jet haven't gotten much airplay in the states or here in Canada. I don't think they've played any major venues, this tour will be the first time. The people are going to see Oasis, they are headlining, this tour, these shows, have been promoted as an Oasis tour/shows. Not as a co-headlining/dual tour.

however, how many people did you think bought the us tickets just for jet? i've got quite a few friends who are just there for jet. nyr i know wat your saying mate..but i think the overwhelminh majority are there to see OASIS for 2 reasons mate first when they do multiple nights here at smaller venues the total attendence combined is like 10 or 12000 and the way the tix sold they could have played more nights than that so to go from 12000 to 20000 is no big stretch secondly the majority of jets fans are younger and the cheap seats went for 34bucks but if your into a opening act you would want to be closer so figure you would go to spend the 75 or 60 buck seats and i dont think alot of people young especially would shell that much cash out to see a band for like 45 minutes..i am not saying your friends would not do that but dont think alot of people would ..so tHOSE TIX would have went anyway buy fans that got shut out of tix..IMO....HOPE THAT ANSWER WAS NOT TO MUCH LIKE OUR BELOVED SCREECH POWERS
