This ‘Best of’ from Death in Vegas, which covers the period 1997-2002, stands in stark contrast to how they built up their reputation through limited edition singles. Milk It is hard to categorise, ranging from electro, eerie electronica, funk, mediocre indie dance through to soundtrack songs. This variety is its virtue. Iggy Pop’s sinister, gravelly vocals, which mutter “I am a murderer” on ‘Aisha’, make for a wondrous opener. However, Liam Gallagher’s lacklustre, plodding vocals ruin ‘Scorpio Rising’s potential to be a beautiful song. Instead, it’s pitifully mediocre.www.studentnewspaper.org/view_article.php?article_id=20050207153646

It's an organic kind of homebrew DJing. DIV would possibly protest that their artistic impulses and working practices are those of any 'real' band, but 'Scorpio Rising''s sparkling title track tells another story. Frustrated, no doubt, as all fans of the man's imperial growl are with Liam Gallagher's somewhat one-dimensional recent material, DIV here scientifically seek to rehouse Britain's premier rock voice in more suitably palatial surroundings. How to make the great man great once more? First give him some slow-burning post-Beatles psychedelic sounds and then feed him far-out, mystic love-lines to chew on. The science works well. It's Liam's best recording in years.

Yeah, i fucking hate students as well GET A FUCKING JOB, and stop spending MY tax money on weed your dirty fuckers That is one of the most ignorant statements I have ever seen posted on the net (and believe me, I've seen many). Students studying in the United Kingdom "borrow" a loan of between £3000 to £5000 a year (in the USA, tuition fees are so high that families save up for years to pay for it, hence not spending itax generated income, tuition fees in the UK are paid TEXT by the government but that is set to change anyway). This loan is then paid back (with interest) over a period of time when said students 'get a f ucking job'. On average, people who attended University and graduate with certain qualifications earn a higher income than those that haven't. This means, on average, that they pay more taxes (don't believe me, do the Maths). These students then become doctors, teachers, scientific researchers, form bands like Radiohead etc. Yes some students are lazy/stoners become unemployed following University, but that is only a small minority. And a smaller minority than those who didn't attend University.
