Well, as we all know it Liam's voice differs from his Britpop performance. His voice takes little change between the first 3 or 4 years of Oasis. Or not so little, after that he's singing less on later two albums. In fact Noel takes upper hand in singing most of the b-sides in later albums. Perhaps it can be explained as a brotherly care for hist vocal. After all, it have grown more nasal and gratling than when he was younger.
One of my main questions is: what will happen with Liam's voice? After all he's 32 years old. Will it become even more gratling with each year or it will change but like before - with little in a half decade. And bigger change after a decade.
And the second. How many songs will Noel perform on their next couple of records? (presumably that they make another one back to back after the upcoming one)...
And the last which ain't connecte much with the topic is how many more records do you think Oasis will make? If they continue doing some more albums in a couple of years (with much material), I think that they could land at least more 3 or 4 albums with a possible b-side collection or two before calling it a day.
Hopefully that will happen. But they are lasy fat bastards....

i put it down to the coke addiction, why his voice changed dramatically from say, 97 to 99/2000.
although his voice has got deeper and raspier since 2000 i think thats just down to the fags booze and the way he sings which im sure makes his vocal chords take a battering. but one thing is that his voice gets stronger and stonger even if his range is narowing.
next album, ill put noel on 2 songs (depends if there written taking liams range into concideration i know noel has sed before he wants liam to sing as many songs as possible on the album).
if they sign a new record deal which is rumoured, we could see perhaps 3 more albums from them. despite what noel has sed about packing it in i rekon hes in it for the long haul and it will be a while before we see him do solo stuff.
thats gotta be my longest post ever ;D

Im putting it down to the fact peoples voices change as they get older. If you had a recording of your own voice from ten years ago, you trying to tell me it would sound the same as now?
Cant understand this big debate about his voice really.

what dix said anyway why all the fuss over his voice it sounded great on HC I dont want 2 sound like a old fucker but most great singers that actually sing not talk have been plauged by live vocal troubles rod stewart, robert plant ,freddie mercury, roger daltry, ect ect all of them have had problems live in there 30s because of the strain on there voice and there hard livin so its no big deal the ouir kid is goin thru it,,if he was a talk singer like jagger or dylan it would be worriesome but this is 2 be expected

Have you not heard Songbird and Wonderwall that he did for UK Radio Aid? His voice has definitely bounced back, like Alan Partridge. Aha.

yeh i downloaded it its top, i dont have a problem with liams voice at all, i like it. My concern is that noel will be singing too many songs on the next album due to liams narrowing vocal range. maybe they may account for this when writing the songs, who knows

His voice did change dramatically, and for the worse too.
You listen to the old bootlegs and he sounds so wonderfull. His voice is clear, and he can hit high notes, and it just sounds differently. It's pretty awesome and he's a damn good singer. Not in the traditional sense, but his voice is the best at what it is used for.
Noel's voice hasn't changed that much. It's improved, but the general sound isn't different. However, when listenin to the version of 'Live Forever' at Glasto in 04 and the version of Live forever at Glasto in 94, many people wouldn't be able to recognize them as the same singer. Noel's done drugs, has drank, and smoked. It didn't change
Same with many other rock singers. Look at Lennon. He did a lot of drugs, drank, and smoked. His voice simply got better.
Really? It's probably how he stands when he sings. Arch your head up and sing Live Forever. It does give it a nasally cool sound, however, it IS NOT good for your vocal chords. Liam has sounded like shit. It sounds good for like Born on a different cloud, but for everything before 97, it sounds shtity. He has no range, can't hit the high notes. And it is rhaspy. Not clear and cool sounding.
However, after listening to the new versions of Songbird and Wonderwall from Radioaid, holy shit-- his voice has improved SO FUCKING MUCH. If you haven't heard these, it is your job as an Oasis fan to hear these. It sounds fantastic and made me extremely excited.
