1995 when I was 8, and my little brother had kept playing 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' over and over, so I started to like it.

Us kids here in the states must have been deprived of good bands as youngins. When I was 10 I was listening to Roxette and Tears for Fears! Anyways I was at BEST BUY and they have those CD headphone deals where you can listen to the disc before you buy. DM was there for the takin so I put on the headphones and havn't taken 'em off since. Was15 then.

i remember in 1996 they played champagne supernova on the radio when my mom was takin me to the doctors office. i'd heard the song before but never registered it as a great song. oasis after that for me was a great band but i was never really huge into them. then around when i turned 18 i picked up definetly maybe for $9 CND. I only liked like 3 songs on it at first. Plus noone i knew liked Oasis. So anyways for the summer it was the only cd i ever had in my car. I tink the mon\ment i went into Oasis hyper mode was after i went with one of my friends to go see Wide Mouth Mason (Canadian band) and as we were walking back to the car I said "I think im in the mood for some cigarretes and alcohol". Ever since then Oasis has been the greatest band in the world.

Just after the release of Heathen Chemistry. I have always like oasis but that was when i really started to love them and have never looked back since. I know i have missed a lot of Oasis and hope they bring out more albums so at least i can experiance some of it. At least people can't say i only like oasis because they were fashionable because they weren't when i started to like them. Seeing them in Milton Keynes for the first time ever! And can't wait!

MTV 94. Just a short buzz clip for Live Forever and I went "whoah, wot's this" with an American accent.
Then saw they had Burt Bacharach on the cover. How could one not buy this thing? Then put it on and Up in the Sky, Columbia, Rock n Roll Star all of them ripped my head off. It was like the first time you go drinking with the boys, the hangover was immense. Then you did it all over again.
Glory was an instant classic. The title song ripped your head off and then all these catchy soulful things came out of left field. Even the somewhat throwaways like She's Electric were stellar. Supernova at the end, fuggitaboutit. Start to finish, almost better than sex.
Honestly, Be Here Now was a big mess when I first put it on. It's since grown on me substantially (can't get enough Magic Pie) but, it's my least favorite of the bunch and a big reason they got forgotten here in the States.
Standing...was much more back on track from the get go. Great album but, the instrumentation was much stiffer, more studio, some people griped, others rolled with it, pun intended. I love Bushes, Gas Panic and Who Feels Love which is as close to outright Beatles theft they ever got. Hard to put this CD above Definitely and Glory but, this is my guilty favorite.
Heathen...surprised the snot out of me. Awesome album that seemed to fly under everybody's radar, what the heck Sony? No wonder Noel won't trust them with a double album.
I predict a big rebound. Nothing is capturing anyone's attention on this side of the pond except that little Aussie band Jet that everybody loves or hates or hates to love. There's pent up demand for raw and boosy rock n roll so, it'll be interesting to see where the lads take us.

after the release of HC when I heard Stop Crying Your Heart Out. I remembered they were the same band we talked about back in the mid 90s with wonderwall and such. I bought DM and it's one of my favorite albums ever. The album did ok here in Canada, for Canadian sales that it.

About 96-97, I recorded some songs from Morning glory in a tape (Hey My, CS, DLBIA, She's electric and Wonderwall). I became a fan when a friend of mine lent me FTM, I was jumping at home listening to Acquiesce!

DLBIA and Supernova made me buy WTSMG in 96 i think.... (shit, that long ago!). Then I bought BHN and stole DM from someone(cool way to get DM). But it was actually SOTSOG which really threw things into swing for me(got it cause of Gas Panic and WDIAGW..heard it on behind the music) , then i hit the roof (collecting singles, boots etc..)
(a little bracket crazy on this one)

My older sister got me into them. I was like 9 or so. She was 14 or so at the time and she'd play DM all the time and i wasn't really into rock so i covered my ears. Married With Children came on and all of a sudden something just clicked. It was the right song that made me want to get to know who this group was and what they were about. I played that album non-stop and have been a fan ever since. BTW, till this day we still argue over who's the best Gallagher: she's for Liam, i'm for Noel LOL
