Noel Gallagher is quitting London because he is sick of standing in queues.
The Oasis star has even written a song about it – Part of the Queue – for the band’s new album.
“I’m getting quite fed up with London at the minute,” he told Radio 1’s Jo Whiley.
“There’s one song called Part of the Queue which is about living in London and how you always seem to be queuing up for things in that city.
“When I moved to London about 12 years ago it blew me away but the novelty has worn off. It’s become so overcrowded over the last three or four years that we’re upping sticks and moving out.”<br> Noel currently lives in north London with his girlfriend Sara McDonald.
He also has a country mansion in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, which he bought while married to ex-wife Meg Mathews.
Noel said the new album, released, on May 16, is his favourite of the last four.
He has already fallen out with brother Liam over which song should be released as the first single.
“There was an obvious first single but I was singing it and after 12 years of Oasis, Liam thought that might sound a bit odd, people might think he’d left the band. He threw his cans out the pram,” Noel said
