What are people analysing this stuff like song titles etc for? It's an Oasis record for fuck sake, you know what its gonna sound like no matter what Noel or anyone else is saying about it for that matter. Its just gonna be just a rock n roll record, nothing more, nothing less. One which will sound fucking ace when its played live just like all the others. Now stop whinging and just buy the fucker when it comes out! finally, someone speaks sense.

finally, someone speaks sense. Oasis is never going to be Radiohead or some band that's redefining rock and roll - they'll always be traditional rock. Thank fuck for that, the day I see Liam Gallagher, the greatest, most exciting, entertaining rock singer to come out the UK for the last 25 years, become anything like that bunch of miserable sods, is the day I stop buying records. Rock n roll doesnt need re-defining, its fine as it is.

i think a lot of these song titles are made up by noel to wind people up and to mis-lead people who may be tring to leak them on the net i mean 'the importance of being Idle' come on sounds like a Radiohead b-side 'Part of the Queue' if these are genuine song titles then noel really is running out of ideas the first single he was talking about is Stop the clocks this is the ONLY new song that has been confirmed by the official website back when he sung it at the Liverpool docks and was talking about ot the week before

I hope the album will be better than their previous two - SotSoG and tHC. And I still hope they'll make another LP for the following year 2006...

Oh come on. If you'd heard a studio version of A Bell Will Ring you'd probably be all over it. I've heard some good covers of it and I'm convinced that if it's done right, it could be great, at least for a B side.

im not sure why some you guys are so quick to judge liams songs.
firstly, we have heard, what, four of his songs? and secondly, we all saw how much he progressed from Little James to the songs on HC, and its now been another 3 years, so he's had the time to hone his songwriting skills so hopefully his new songs will be great.
so at least try and give him the benefit of the doubt!!

It would just be great to hear any new stuff right now for god's sake. And for the sake of Rock & Roll as we know it. Let's just wait and see what they come up with next. You know there will be a couple of Noel anthems, one or two instrumentals, a sappy Liam song and a Sex Pistolesque song with some addicting rythem. (that is pretty much the theme for the past 2 or three albums.) Let's just wait to be impressed again, where the same group can come up with brilliant songs again and again.

No need to worry as everything Noel has done has been great.....the only thing that may be a problem is he has only written 4 songs. Still confident in the others to have good songs as Noel probably has a lot of input in determining the final sound of the song

I'm kind of hoping for some kind of sound that is totally different from any other album. And by the way Noel is talking thats probably what we are going to get. I'm pumped!

damn ,,i love your confidence in LIAM I hope he proves you wrong though I am sure he will prove all of us wrong, if Noel thinks it's great then it has to be. Songbird is a great song & Born on a diff cloud, this all revealed a Liam that none of us has ever seen. By the way what I meant by a "sappy Liam song" was that he will probably come up with a slow downbeat song as apposed the Noel's anthem like writing. I think they are all very talented and I hope for the best.

i think liam's songs are good... moreover you have to keep in mind how he writes songs... he writes the lyrics and has a global idea of the melody and he explains it to noel...noel is involved in liam's song...with a good result i think because i like a lot born on a different cloud...

They are the closest thing we have to John & Paul in today's music. Let's just hope for the best. They have never been embraced by the States though yet, not since Glory. The fans, like myself, still remain in the underground. Oasis gets very little airplay and the MTV Coverage is not great either. I think Canada does a better job at promoting the band then the USA. I hope this is the one to put them really on the map in the states but in a way I don't want that to happen. I like it better with Oasis being more of an underground buzz, it really brings the true fans out to the shows.

i think this album is gonna be top. i know noel cant stand WTSMG anymore and he said this album is his fav of the last 4. i like SOYSOG alot and HC ruled. i think we are in for a masterpiece of great rock and roll songs and it might not go mainstream here in the states, but i dont care. OASIS is the best band in the world and my fav and whatever they release i know i will love. If some songs do hit it big in the states i will be the first to say i was with them since day one.
