I'm debating whether or not I should order the Live Forever single (I'm an American fan). I'm not the biggest fan of Up in the Sky (it's alright, but I wouldn't be forking over the 11 bucks for an acoustic version of it alone), but is Cloudburst a good song? I've heard both good and bad things about it.

Ive only ever heard it on the lost tapes bootleg and although that particualr version isn't the best, production wise, i still like it.

You should buy it though mate, its a great tune s11.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=B9494770DCC60E8119B4A7630DEAFCEF

Think it has the potential to be good, but when it's about to peak....."theres a change in the weather...here it comes again....." it just goes boring

Cloudburst is ok but if you're buying the single just for that song then you should think about getting the shakermaker single as it is included on that as well (along with d'yer wanna be a spaceman, alive, i will believe and a live version of bring it on down).
Live Forever was the last single that i purchased from the glory years (DM-WTSMG).
I like the acoustic up in the sky but IMO the best thing about the single is the front cover which is a photo of john lennons childhood home.
Anyway, you should get these singles first (assuming you dont already own them)

Cloudburst is an excellent song. I love the b-sides from that era. And if you want to know a similar song, listen to Standing Here by the Stone Roses because the two songs are very identical.
hmmm speaking of singles, i have to start looking for some to finish off the set.

How is it 'very indentical'? Something can't be 'very identical', it is either identical or very similar. Anyway, it sounds nothing like either but it possibly Oasis' best B-Side.

i found a store in bolton called x records - they had used singles for like 2 pounds and under. I went on a shopping spree! they had a ton of classic vinyls too! i'll make sure to stop off there the next chance i get. i'm still trying to find don't go away single for cheap - lowest i've seen here is $25. And why do the japanese get all the good shit?

There is a little second hand record shop where I live, most of the the cd singles are £1, classic albums on viynl for couple of quid, classic 7" singles for £1, rare box sets, dvd's, everything you could ever want for next to nowt. I was in there the other day and all the Oasis singles are there, so you could buy the whole lot for less than £20.

I managed to get Don't Go Away and the Japanese version of Some Might Say for about 8 quid each from some company I found through Amazon.
