have you ever noticed how great the lyrics of gas panic are? (read below) they're just amazing i think... i wonder why noel says he's not a good lyricist (does this word exist? )

the second verse is even stronger.
and the rest of the song is amazing too - probably what it would sound like if a trip was to be translated into music.

yeah those lyrics are great, I mean they are a lot different from the other Oasis tunes we're used to hear... it has a strong impact, the verses are really dark, but it's not a depressive song, actually it's the other way around... brilliant tune...

The line, "My eyes are dead and my throat's like a Burlap whore" is dead cool. That song was proof that their quality didn't fade away with the 90's.

If im honest ive never cared too much for that song and whenever i do myself an oasis live compilation cd i never put gas panic on it but i'll give it another whirl. TBH, I always like the lyrics but didn't like the sh1te in the background and ive always thought that the song goes on for too long towards the end.

I love to listen to that song when I'm....well...stoned... Too bad... I've listened all albums of Oasis - stoned. And beside my britpop-love affair, I think there is no band better than Zeppelin.

that line is 'My eyes are dead and my throat is like a black hole' REALLY???!!!! I always heard "Burlap whore." Maybe Liam changed the lyrics when he was singing it? Now that I think of it, I remember that as the correct lyric. Maybe I just heard it that way the first time and ignored "black hole" when I read the lyrics. You gotta admit though, "Burlap whore" would've been much cooler. How embarassing.

Gas Panic should have been released as a single, as I'm sure I remember Noel saying in an interview somewhere.
The video could have been really dark and awesome, with the band playing in a creepy house or something, all a bit Blair Witch.
The lyrics are great, although I've never liked the line "You better get on your knees and pray..." which sounds a bit naff to me, like it's come from some Dirty Harry film or something.

Gas Panic is one of those songs which grew on me - Like the whole of SOTSOG.
A few wanky tunes on there (I can see a liar and little James spring to mind), but there is some real class pon that album.
Go let it Out, Gas Panic and, my all time favourite, Where Did it all go wrong.
I hope the forthcoming set list for the 2005 shows includes at least one of these songs !
roll on Milton keynes !
