Shandypants are pretty much 'posh' people who live in 'posh' parts of London (ie. Kensington, where Damon has lived at some stage)

In the Britpop war (made by the media) Oasis were seen as the working class Northeners and Blur were seen as he Southern middle class (not being working class so they were 'soft'). The stereotype in Britain is that 'soft' people drink Shandy.
