i hope since this lp is taking so long to get out if maybe noel will consider doing a double? i know he said they got like 66 tunes and that liam would have to solo cause he aint doin a triple lp but a double seems fair ,after all its goin on nearly 3 years since HC and 10 or 12 tunes seems so little. i worry about the lack of production when you consider the first 3 lps were done from 94 -97 (plus masterplan) and since then excluding the live lp the next 3 lps will take 6years (99 to 05) i know it will be great nonetheless just hope for a little more  |

i think we had 6 threads that said exactly the same
but, i dont think so, cause if not sotsog should have also been a double. and noel already dismissed this chance...

if it were a double there would be some shit songs on it. Id prefer a ten track album of all good songs rather then a double with some shit ones. If a album only has good songs it just flows better because there are no shit songs breaking up the good ones.

sorry eggy, i just hate guns n roses. From axl rose's annoying voice to slash's cheesey 12 minuite long solo's, i hate it all.

im sorry to say but i do doubt oasis's ability to release 20 good songs on one album now. Also im not sure the 66 songs thing is anything new, well maybe for demos but im sure they probably have other songs written they havnt even demoed. Also with 20 songs there would be about 5 songs between gem and andy and their songwriting to me is unproven.

Any album's good enough for me, I'd say we'll get 10 or 11 songs on the album, and then there's say, 4 singles with a couple of B sides each so we're talking nearly 20 songs there, then the rest will either be scrapped, end up on the net or be used as B-sides for future Oasis singles.

some might say (haha pardon the pun - not intended), that a double album is pushing our luck. i am not a greedy person, and the average 10 track album will keep me quite happy, til we hear about another new one being released....but yeah i wouldn't be too chuffed if we had to wait a further 3 years for another album after 'this one', speshly considering Noel claimed they had about 66 songs wrote. hhmm... only time will tell. |

im sorry to say but i do doubt oasis's ability to release 20 good songs on one album now. sadly enough u have a point there. there indeed were some letdowns in the near past (but also contrasted by massive pop songs that keep me believing in the band) a double album sounds as if its a top idea but in the first place the band should take good care of the quality of the album. that means, put as many killer tunes as possible on it and get the average ones as B's |
