Nick Lachey, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Jake Gyllenhaal and Leonardo DiCaprio were among the celebrities who checked out Maroon 5's benefit show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California, Thursday night. The band played most of Songs About Jane and then encored with Oasis' "Don't Look Back in Anger" and AC/DC's "Highway to Hell," during which drummer Ryan Dusick (who sat out the show due to a shoulder injury) took over vocals while singer Adam Levine played drums.

Anyone have a boot for us? I'm glad they're fans, and they sure picked an awesome song to cover. I can't say I like them though, and if for some unlikely reason it lets some flavor-of-the-month band like Maroon 5 to make DLBIA popular in the US, it won't make this Oasis fan very happy.
Better yet, nevermind the boot request. Hearing anyone besides Noel sing that song would just be.... wrong. And DLBIA can stay on the list of incredible songs that most transient MTV-drones in the US wouldn't even recognize.

At least the lead singer didn't sing it, don't know what the drummers vocals are like but the thought of their usual singer singing DLBIA sends shivers down my spine...

Same here, mainly so I can put it against the original and take it to all the Maroon 5 worshipping people I know and say "One of these versions is an awesome track sung by a legend, the others by these johnny come latelys you rave on about"

yea. only thing I like about Maroon 5 is that they reference oasis. However if oasis is one of their big influences (which I am not sure of), then they are an embarassing pop cliche to oasis' identity.
Maroon 5's singer...sounds like he wanted to be in some sort of boy band or a pop singer, but had to settle for a crappy rock band instead. Has no balls whatsoever.
Would like to hear their version of the song, so I may have another excuse to bash maroon 5.
