Taken from Tim Lovejoy's new show:
"We’ve demoed 66 songs and he’s written a fair few. Some of them are really good but he’s going to have to do a solo tour ‘cause I’m not doing a triple album.""
I wonder if there's any possibility of that actually happening and Liam doing a solo tour within the next few years. Obviously would be good to see, but could also be one of the final nails in Oasis coffin so it's a bit of a catch 22 situation. Any thoughts?

Did anybody else notice that he didn't say anything about not doing a double album?
OASIS (white album cover)

Lazy son of a bitch! He has 66 songs, why not make another album as well?! He made us wait 3 years but when he can, he doesn't give us more!! I want at least [/u]another Oasis album!!

a double album is at least an interesting thought despite all the contra that it receives here. sure there'd be some tracks that wouldnt end up as classics but the beatle white album did actually benefit from the fact that it has its lows or lets say fillers that make the killer tracks appear even more outstanding...weird.
i dunno. an album would just be enough, be it 10 or 20 tracks.

I think Noel was having a laugh because he only wrote 14 of the x amount of songs mentioned and room will have to be made for the principle songwriter on the album of course. As for Liam having so many tunes that some good tunes may be left out because he wrote the lyrics, well what about more b-sides to reflect his, Gems and Andy's talents?

I'd explode if Oasis came out with a double album. I would love to see this happen. And if they've got 66 songs in the works, it certainly looks possible.

My favorite album ever is the white album. It has lots of songs that aren't classics, sure, but are still awesome. Rocky Raccoon rules. It's just cool to chill back, listen to it. A great variety, experimentation, and Lennon making the people get up and move their needle when Revolution 9 came on.
He did the same thing with Sgt Peppers. If you have the original Vinyl, the noise at the end of A Day in the Life repeated forever.

it seems like every time Noel says they got a bunch of songs, we go on & on about having a double album.. then they release 10 or 11 tracks, and some of the best ones not even make the album and are relegated to b-sides, in singles that now can only have 3 tracks... lol I don't remember if this happened back in 99 when they were recording SOTSOG, but I sure do remember having this same conversation before HC, same thing, Noel saying they had several good tunes, some LIam's, others from Gem and Andy, and a few of his own, etc, etc. but don't get me wrong, I would do 3 car wheel spins, 1 triple jump and several dances if they actually release a double album ;D what is new to this oasis pre-album interviews, is that Noel usually gives a "projected" date, like now when he says we could have a sigle for March, and usually hes waay off, but this thing about May 26th, and actually repeating it twice and saying their deadline is may 26th.. that's a new one.. so, LETS KEEP OUR HOPES HIGH!

Noel already said he doesn't want a double album, and he also mentioned he'll cut off lots of liam's tunes... its in the news room if u wanna check it...

dudes, how will you feel if Oasis release two new albums back-to-back like Radiohead did - Kid A+Amnesiac. And thinking about Oasis - they are totally capable of that. I keep my fingers crossed. noel ruled out any possibility for a triple record, but... did he rule out possibility for two consistent records. I still hope he will make them.
