it was a Sheraton, has the same headstock, pickups, fret inlay etc. He has used various Supernovas some have a lighter blue than others i have noticed I'm getting a Union Jack Supernova for Christmas this year

It's a sheraton I people...the big send off is the Headstock Inlay (vines)...rivieras just have the big diamond/dot thing.
I think the reason Noel never plays the stock epiphone supernovas (union jack or otherwise), is cos by the time they were produced, he kinda got off the epiphones. Also...why play a mediocre factory reproduction when you can play the real thing? (His "homemade" one).
Which brings me to my next point...the Supernovas aren't that aesthetically pleasing, I don't think (the union jack ones). It's not a very flattering paint job, although it looks good, it doesn't do the real deal justice. The biggest benefit I can think of is that the toggle switch is located on the upper horn, much like a les paul...but is that a big deal?
Besides, I think the mini humbuckers and frequensator on the sheraton are really great sounding...2 innovations that kinda made noels seering lead sound (There and Then video is evidence of this I think).
Sort of off topic...but I recently saw a rickenbacker 330 ( one of my favorite guitars of all time), done up in a union jack finish...absolutely mega, to die for. I think I have the pic saved somewhere?

of course its not the signature model thats the original noel-made union jack.
By the way:the supernovas(metallic blue/union jack), have Gibson 57 alnico classic pickup, not the usual stock humbuckers like other 335. The other Gibson to have the 57 classic i think is the Epiphone John Lennon Revolution(amazing),and the Gibson 335. So when you buy a supernova, you buy the ultimate guitar man coz you got Gison 57 pickup, an amazing look and a playability thats out of this world.I own one and compare to other Strats or little shit like yamaha or Samick, this piece of wood is the best guitar on the planet.
cheers live forever epiphone4ever

yea its a sheraton 1, lennonlives is right. You can also see it by the thingy were the strings are attached. The supernova has one like a les paul or the sheraton 2. The sheraton 1 has one like the riviera, split in two and all to the back of the guitar.(dunno the englisch word for it).
Funny thing about the toggle switch. On the live by the sea video, at the beginning of a song (cant remember witch one) you see noel trying to find the switch at the upper horn, while its down between the potmeters cuz hes playing a casino or something like that...

I think most of us know that ALL casinos (not most, ALL) possess P-90 dog ear single coils.
