Two suggestions to make the next album as good as possible:
Have only Gallagher-written songs (Come on, I like Gem and Andy, and I think they're solid at their respective instruments, but they're not Oasis to me)
Liam sings at least 90% of them (Him only singing 7/11 on Heathen was really weak, and because of the track listing the longest streak was only 3 in a row)
Man, really hope they take these to heart.

i agree with Bagel
i like 'Hung in a Bad Place' and 'Thank you for the Good Times' but they're nothing special - lyrically average and uninspiring. not what i expect from oasis
but good tunes all the same. i would like to see them contribute to new oasis material, if their stuff is good enough. i'm looking forward to Liam's new songs more than any of the others
and i def agree that Liam should sing more. His voice is better than Noels, he has the attitude and is the lead singer - he should sing the vast majority of the songs. 1 or 2 noel ones is enough
it must be very unusual for the lead vocalist to sing only 7 of 11 songs on an album. i also just realised that Noel only wrote 6 of the 11 songs on HC (and one of those, Force of Nature, was written well in advance of the album wasnt it?) Hardly prolific...
they are a lazy band ;D

Thank you for the good times sounded pretty oasis to me. Top tune.
I dont think it matters who writes the songs, but i would like to hear a majority of good bangin songs on the new record, you know, in the style of the first 2 albums. The last two have been a little more 'mellow' and downbeat IMO (with the exception of The Hindu Times probably), i'd like to hear some 'i dont give a shit' rock n roll. But that depends what mood oasis are currently in i guess...lookin forward to it.

same here. in the first place i thought Good Times was awesome and should've appeared on the album but i realized that it doesnt keep up with THT and HIABP. andy can do better! on the other hand it's way more qualified as an album track than AQP
