I bought the NME today and ,as i thought it contained no 'real' updates on the drummer situation. The Article
'Throughout the week rumour circulated saying that the drummer had left, but injury (tendonitis) wasn't the real reason.'
As NME went to press Alan hadn't issued his own statement.
The band will be in the studio this week to record the follow up to Heathen Chemistry and Noel IS believed to be drumming on the EARLY recordings.
Under the title...
'THEY'VE ALREADY FOUND A REPLACEMENT'
NME has been told that ex-Proud Mary drummer Terry Kirkbride is the favourite to join the line-up.
He'll be the 11th Member of Oasis!
Steve White (Alans brother) is not interested in drumming for the band.
Noel also says:
'This album is gonna be ten songs. There'll be no ballads or string sections on there. Hearing it in my head its gonna be a proper psychedelic rock 'n' roll record. Imagine Bob Dylans 'Highway 61 Revisited' crossed with 'Their Satanic Majesties Request' with a bit of The Stone Roses thrown in for for good measure'
The band are also rumoured to be playing Glastonbury in June, although nothing was confirmed as NME went to press.
Thats it boys and girls, for those of you who cant get a hold of the mag.

i have to admit that i am worried about the next album. they managed to pull themselfs out of a nosedive with the last album and dropped all of the songs from be here now and giants, stripped the band down to a basic live unit, got really tight live. what now? if this album is crap then they could lose it totally! then webby could lose his site a lot depends on the next six months in oasis world. i shall be supporting the lads at glastonbury come what may. (tickets permitting)

If this album turns out to be bad then they might just say f*** it, let's go home. Noel doesn't seem to interested these days, and Liam is having enough fun with his family. But of course it will be a good album, right people? say yes! and don't worry about the webhamster, he'll make some sort of site with scantly clad women for us to gather on.

I saw Proud Mary live at an Oasis gig. They did have some catchy tunes (cant remember any of the titles ) and thinking back i was pretty impressed by the drumming.
