Incase I've missed something really major, it must be difficult to be the drummer and lead guitairist on a song and I know songs can be changed in production and stuff like that, but I don't see any way Noel can be the lead guitairist aswell as taking over from Alan on the drums for this album!

So who would you think would take up the reigns as lead guitairst for the new album presuming Noel is on the drums? Gem or Andy?

it wouldnt be verry hard. just record the song without drums, then record the drums after and sample it over the top.

then they'll get a drummer to tour it after theyve recorded it.

if it was that situation i think it would be gem because him and noel share lead anyway.

Oh right, this whole thing is way too complicated for me lol.

So I'm sure that would be alright then. I hope Noel's getting paid a lot for this album. Lead guitarist, drummer, backing vocals, presumably lead vocals on at least a couple of tracks AND writer of half the songs I'd expect! ;D

they will not get a session muscian in, it will just sound souless. i cant really see them throwing alan out and then gettig his bro in, that would hardly be fair.
and gems a better lead player than noel anyway, he can do any bits of lead needed to be done.
