Is that a joke?!?!!?!? It'd better be. HA HA I dont know what all the fuss is about. He's left. If you didn't appreciate them in the first place, then you have no right to miss him. Thats what i think. I can see what your saying, but, he's gone now, its his decision. At least you can say you were their when they were the biggest band in the world. ;D Knebworth.... Maine Road.... Earls Court..... Finsbury.... Every gig was special to me. And I appreciated them when they were together.

Why they hell is everyone getting so dramatic? Alan has had a wonderful run. It is friday. Drink one for Alan and wish him the best. He's leaving a band, not dying. I'm sure he'll be fine. As for Oasis, as long as their is a Noel and Liam Gallagher there will be an Oasis.

Not good. I just listened to Dont look back in anger.....f*ckin EPIC drumming. Brought a tear to my eye. If he has left for good, best wishes and get well soon.
Stuart Cable??! Err...
And as for the end of Oasis, obviously everyones hoping this isnt it...but its not the same anymore. the passion and rawness isnt there, and Noel is getting on a bit, they all have young children...Who knows.
Oh and also, did anyone else find it quite ironic (and possibly spooky) that Tony McCarroll was 'killed off' in the video to Live Forever? Buried and all! And then look what happened! They (or Noel) really didnt like the chap did they!

I can't believe this happened. Whitey was the best and he was such a good fit with the band. He was really calm and cool, and good friends with liam so i don't think there was a fight or anything.
The only weird part of the statement was that there are no plans to replace him. Might leave the door for him to come back but i seriously doubt it. But you never know, maybe they asked him to leave so he won't f*** up his wrists.
RIP whitey

hmmm i was just thinking
Oasis have been out of the spotlight for quite a bit now. This might just be a PR stunt to create some hype around the band. Its the only way to do it other than releasing some music, or playing a gig. It'll get people talking again cause i'm sure its all over the British press and other media around the world.

Stuart Cable was the poodle haired drummer in the Stereophonics, he was recently sacked by Kelly Jones for looking to much like Brian May

someone from oasisinet posted this he said it was an article from sweedish newspapers. He translated it to english
I just read this in a newpaper and im gonna translate it for you
sweedish Ny trummis i Oasis: Noel LONDON. English New drummer in Oasis: Noel Oasis have sacked their drummer Alan White. The replacement will be - Noel Gallagher. The group thought that Alan just was not good enough and that is why he got kicked out. Noel Gallagher will take over the drumsticks - atleast during the present time they record the album. Some surprised people think that the drumming will be the best ever for Oasis.

I'll vouch that his drumming's been lackluster compared to when he first came on...and that's coming from a big Whitey fan, but it has been...geez. that's harsh...

I dont think Oasis are into publicity stunts myself. They've always been down to earth lads, there could be many reasons why alan is gone, but i wont believe anything untill noel/liam tells us the real reason.

yeh weve not heard anything yet from anyone in the band so ill wait till then.
and also i verry much doubt they did it to get in the paper. If they wanted that they could have just sent liam out to hit the first photographer he sees. It would seem a bit drastic too, to sack someone to get in the paper. Also like tomo says i dont really think there like that.

yeah that's all true. Its best to just wait for a statement from the band members themselves.

Not good. I just listened to Dont look back in anger.....f*ckin EPIC drumming. Brought a tear to my eye. If he has left for good, best wishes and get well soon. i'm not an expert here, but i'd guess most of the drumming parts were written by noel anywhere. sure its a shame alan white has gone, but i fail to see the big story really its been said before - noel and liam are oasis. the rest are just glorified session musicians and a session musician is probs what they will use on any upcoming tour by the sounds of it.
