I heard that Johnny Depp played Slide Guitar on Fade In-Out but what the hell is a slide guitarist. What do they do?
That might be a stupid question, but I have never known what a slide guitarist does.

slide guitar or slide blues gutar is a specific way of playing guitar by use of a metal or glass cylinder on either your third or fourth finger. usually in conjunction with finger picking or regular picking. the guitar is usually tuned to an open chord, i.e. E, D, G, or A. This is delta style, delta being from Mississippi Delta

I wanted to play slide-guitar after I've heard The White Stripes "Dead Letter". And harmonica too.

But I can play it on EADGBE guitar, yea, it's rather hard. I'v always thougt that they covered only One Cup Of Coffee, Stop Breaking Down and I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself.
