Just downloaded the whole gig off kazaa minus Listen Up and Whatever (I've already got the videos of those two + The Masterplan already so it's no big loss)
I know people always seem to say that it was a poor night for Oasis and so on, but just from watching the start of it again it was bloody top drawer IMO. Great performance from Noel all the way through, and although a lot of the songs sound better in a more rocky fashion it's just a bloody class gig!

I agree, but the only person who lost anything on that night was Liam IMO.
It would have been better with his vocals, but I think Noel showed that he didn't need Liam's voice as much as Liam needed his songs if you catch my drift!

Live Forever must be sung by Liam.. it's just his song...Noel shouldn't have played it.. ;D

although i think liam could sing most acoustic songs ok and some really well. theirs some electric songs noel just couldnt pull off. Cigarettes and alcohol for example ive got an mp3 of noel singing it just doesnt sound great. Thats why i think generally liam has a better voice.

that's right.. most of Oasis-songs are written for Liam's voice true...somehow... noel reported that it often took hours of work to fit his written vocals to liam's voice... esp some WTSMG and BHN songs came out to sound totally different after liam put his own part into it.. i guess thats what you have to pay for having a johnny rotten impersonator in yer band ;D

btt: regardless of my disappointment with the whole sort of big band arrangement on oasis' unplugged session (that just fitted to the masterplan), i think noel ruined some of the tracks while others just sounded better with his voice on them.
no doubt that wonderwall was utter shit. so was hello, SMS, RAW. on the other hand there he performed the best version of CNS to date

wonderwall was shite, that's right.. but the main problem was, it wasn't OASIS' performance- I missed typical atmosphere, which you can feel on almost every oasis-gig....

yeh Liam has a much bigger presence on stage then noel, when he walks on stage he draws your attention thats something noel hasnt got.

Liam'll give yer a song that you can swagger down the street to or tap your feet to or kick the sh*t out of something to. Noel will sing you a song that you can cry to, contemplate to, stare idly into space to. Acquiesce shows this off damn well i think. As for charisma/presence? potayto/potarto, although i'd say presence

I've got it on Cd and i think its fantasic, Noel sounds brilliant and its good to see the songs done acoustic. my fave songs from that is The Masterplan, cast no shadow, round are way / up in the sky and some might say. it also reminds me of when i went to ibiza two years ago coz the barman played the whole album it was great
