I am a budding guitarist who loves the sound of Oasis on Def. May. & WTSMG. Any suggestions of how to get bonehead's rhythm sound? I have an epiphone 335 guitar and a crummy little marshall amp, with a boss overdrive pedal, but it still sounds grainy and not as good as the boys.

Any help?

i'd start off by leaving the pedal out of it. you should be able to get a pretty decent oasis sound using just the guitar and the marshall. play about with the overdrive and gain settings on the amp, and make sure you've got the right pick-up selected

i love the sound of a guitar through a marshall with no pedals! but if you want, you can add the pedal after you've sorted the amp out. thats how i'd do it anyway. i have a boss overdrive pedal and we've never seen eye to eye ;D
