Hey all,
I was just wondering what you guys would like to see a covered by Oasis... For some strange reason today i was trying to imagine Tha Clash's Should I Stay Or Should I Go sung by Liam and i think it would be pretty good...Maybe thats just me lol...
Anyway, any suggestions?

i'd like them to do some elvis song. beatles - dizzy miss lizzy (tho the text is very simple).. but another beatle cover? probably a mid-paced nirvana song.. a never mind - bside.. noh! bad idea  why not a smiths song.. |

Paloalto's "Breathe In". Although the singer is a dead match for the lead singer of Radiohead, I think Oasis would do an incredible job with this song.

it would be funny if they did an Elvis song like viva las vegas or jailhouse rock. that' would be great.
noel could do an acoustic of a Frank Sinatra song

Just imagine Liam singing we dont need no education. i'd prefer to see Noel and Liam doing an acoustic version of Wish You Were Here i would have Noel singing backing vocals over the final verse. doing his usual harmony with Liam over the line "we're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl" man i can hear it in my head. would be awesome... think i'll break my guitar out and do my own version.... i'll just have to pretend my voice is as good as liam's though ;D |

headshrinker is pure pistols to me and liam and noel love the pistols and they owe more to the sex pistols attitude than the beatles.
lets try "pretty vacant"
noel would love that riff!

oasis doing pink floyd would just suck........lets face it! pink floyd simply suck assballz! if you said "lets do led zep" then i could warm to that one but pink floyd? i think not! floyd aren't a band everyone is gonna love, but for any fan of rock music to not appreciate floyd just baffles me. 4 songs - Another Brick in the Wall, Time, Comfortably Numb and Wish you were Here, are some of the best rock songs ever written - and a big music fan like yourself must like them on some level. Noel loves Floyd so i do hope one day they do a cover. although the idea of Oasis attempting some floyd songs doesn't thrill me. they would have to stick do songs like wish you were here, which they could actually pull off. |

What about a Rolling Stones song like "i cant get no satisfaction". And about oasis doing zeppelin covers im not sure if noel or gem could cope with the lead guitar parts im also not sure if they would suit liams voice.

floyd are not a rock n roll band and that is the difference!!
brick in the wall!
madness did "baggy trousers" and it was a more honest picture of school life to me.
i liked "wish you were here" though, probably because it was about sid.
the gallagher brothers understand their rock n roll history.
thats why they covered slade.
i would have loved to hear liam singing "coz i luv you" by slade.
now that would be cool.

I wouldnt mind hearing Noel doing a cover of the Stones ' Gimme Shelter '. I say Noel as I dont think Liams voice would suit it really. Liam sings with grit, Jagger sings too cleanly.
