yeah its bs. coldplay are good, but they're not great. The only reason they're so big right now is because the whole music industry is going to the shitter. There aren't the quality acts these days as there were in the 90's.
coldplay are no Oasis. they couldn't even hold up alan white's drumsticks

They are no Oasis, but i think they are pretty good. I think they have a few songs which are tops. "Yellow", The Scientist, Trouble, Politik, just to name a few that are great. i am not sure who did the tallying here because Robbie Williams as Best Male Solo Artist makes me want to vomit profusely.  I can't believe you would even bring Gweneth into it like that. I think she is a pretty classy actress and to say their popularity is based on the fact that Chris is he is "banging" her- real nice..  as a woman I will take slight offense to that. |

i agree with what mape said. i like some of coldplay's stuff but oasis they are not - they don't have anything to say, they're hardly revolutionary.
i think shadowboxer has a point webby, your comment about gweneth was'nt the most respectful i've ever heard. they seem to be keeping their relationship private, so good luck to them.
there are a lot of pop stars joining the anti-war bandwagon - anyone know what liam or noel think of the iraq war?

i'm not going soft! ;D i just think they have kept their relationship private instead of being constantly in the papers and the news like most other celebrity couples. they deserve some respect. and to use words like banging and 'doing' isn't very respectful - even i never talked about britney spears that way....or did i? lol i can't rememeber ;D
anyway they've lasted for a few months so far - we shall see....

in terms of the war, I was flipping thru NME and noel said he was surprised at how the US and British govt can't just go in and oust saddam without turning the entire country into a parking lot and killing everyone.
I think he also said how we need james bond or austin powers to do the job.
