Can someone tell me anything about these torrents, I've downloaded uTorrent and basically all I want to do is download some T.V shows shown on American tv like: Lost, Prison Break, Rescue Me, 24 etc. where would be the safest site to download these from? and what does seeding and being a peer mean I haven't got clue about any of this I'm quite new to computers! thanks.

NEVER download anything illegal from torrentspy, if I remember correctly a federal judge has forced them to spy on its users and give the data to the MPAA. I don't know if they are very dangerous, but why take the risk? There are loads of other good torrent sites though: Meganova.org, thepiratebay.org, etc. The easiest way to find torrents though is to search for torrents on google, so you don't have to go through each and every torrent site trying to find the file you're looking for (Just type in "Torrent .....").

I think so, but you don't have to be afraid for cops showing up at your doorstep There are people who download GB's upon GB's an hour, all day long and 7 days a week. Nobody cares about downloading a few files once in a while, but it's just the idea of a torrent site handing over personal data to the MPAA which scares me off. It's no big deal, but just try to avoid them. Why downloading from torrentspy when you can find the same files on other sites as well? Oh, and it might be handy to install peer guardian 2. It blocks IP adresses from companies and government organisations trying to access your computer (again, it's not a big deal but why not avoid them?)

I don't remember where I got pg2 from, but you can find more information right here: phoenixlabs.org/pg2/I guess almost all torrent sites are pretty safe, as long as you don't download file after file. Most legal threats against torrent sites are just aimed at the site itself, not at users ( thepiratebay.org/legal.php ) ;D their responses are hilarious
