the last few times i've tried to burn files for an audio disc when it's reached 92% it says runtime error prog\.c:\programmefiles\ahead\nero\nero.exe abnormal programme termination it keeps happening everyime i wanna burn some files to make an audio cd does anyone know whats going on? it's been fine for ages but the last few days this has kept happening,i've had to throw away at least 7 blank cd-rs?

Have you been burning the same files or does it do it with lots of different ones?

and have you tried slowing down the burn speed to like 8x?

uninstall and reinstall nero if the suggestions above dont work

i have been trying to burn the same files,i haven't tried burning at a lower speed so i'll try that,if not i'll re install nero again.thanks alot for all your help,hopefully it'll work now.

you could have a corrupt mp3 causing the problem! Sometimes there is one song screwy and it will mess up the disc everytime. As for how to go about identifying it that's tough, probably easiest to re-rip or re-DL them all. What all songs are you putting on CD?

I was trying to burn some sound effects from 'lost' the tv show onto disc so i could use some samples in my music,anyway i didn't notice till not long ago but some of the files were wav & mp3 so maybe that was it,i burnt some different files onto disc so it's not my nero.It's all okay now thanks to you all for your help

glad you got it fixed! weird though, burning wav or mp3 should be fine when making a music CD. I like Roxio better than nero myself!

i've never heard of roxio is it a similar thing to nero?
