from the link its an IDE drive - this is simple to do, just either set as slave/master or if has it auto - and plug in - should recognise it and install etc this all depends if there is another device on the cable already (harddrive or cd/dvd etc) then you can format/partition it from windows if its a second drive..... using "admin tools" / "computer managment" 300gb is def a good investment

with an IDE drive you should be able to fit it to the same cable as your original drive (if no other drives on the cable) if ya wanted to, just a slot in, clip in power, - so you could keep your existing drive with windows on - and also have another empty drive to fill up with crap

get an external drive mate they are easy to install and you can easily share between computers i got a 250 gig external for 100 notes from ALDI of all places. You can buy a usb portable hdd box to install the hardrive your after instead of buying an all in one, might run cheaper that way

ive been thinking of being buying an 300mb external hard drive and ive been shopping on ebay and best price i could find with someone with good positive feedback and decent shipping cost was £105 it connects to your computer via usb tho so i dunno if your old computer will have a usb port
