I must share with you my story...yesterday I was downloading some stuff, and surfing on the internet when i had a pc crash..I thought i'll restart my pc and thats it...but after i have entered to the windows, my harddisk have disappeared you can guess what i have lost...EVERYTHING, my whole bootleg collection, fuckin lots of videos of gigs, I just can't believe that...and I can't collect them again, cause it was too much and it took fuckin lots of time to get... and now I'm very very very sad and disapponited..  thanks guys, who helped me to get my ex-collection, and who read this cheers |

Hi, You say you've lost all your files on your hard drive, but they may still actually be on there like Globe said. It is possible to get them back by using a certain piece of software. Its called 'Recover My Files'. You can read more about it here if you wish to give it a go - www.recovermyfiles.com/ I haven't used it myself, so I can't say how well it works but its definitely worth a try. It says: Recover deleted files even if emptied from the Recycle Bin Recover formatted hard drives, even if you have reinstalled Windows! Recover your files after a hard disk crash Get back files after a partitioning error Recover documents, photos, video music & email. Recover from hard drive, camera card, USB, Zip, floppy disk or other removable media Now I'm sure one of those options is whats happened to you. I'm not sure if I am allowed to post the software on the board, but if you want it to see if it will work and too see if you can get your bootlegs back just say so either here or PM and I'll upload the software for you. |

Wow…I wish I would have known about that program. I had the same thing happen to me about a year and a half ago & I lost everything as well. Since then, I have pretty much re-collected everything I lost. Now I am constantly backing up my files (& backing up my back ups!)
My computer crashed again about two weeks ago. Luckily, I had all of my audio & video backed up, but I lost all of the cool Oasis pics I had on my hard drive that I use for wallpaper & stuff. I completely forgot about that!

Sally, keep us updated, I am curious to see if the program works.
