Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to keep downloaded bootlegs in your Itunes archive. Sometimes the file will stay permanently but most of the time it will play once after a download and then I cannot access it later because it says the file cannot be located. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

are you able to go to the location of the song and play it with other software? also, is the song on an external harddrive?

I'm not sure how to play the song with any other program. Can I transfer them out of Itunes to another program. All of my songs are on my hard drive, but I do own an external harddrive. Whenever I try to play many of my downloaded songs the message says the original file cannot be located. Can you offer any suggestions on things that I can do or programs I can download? I would appreciate any suggestions.

this is a tricky one...but i will suggest that you move the songs to another HD/or location (backup all music played by itunes), then delete the library in iTunes - then import the songs again... that way you know that the songs should play because you have just imported them from the location that they are...!
