with the ntsc dvd - can your PC dvd read them - if so you could try dvd shrink to re-encode the dvd and select PAL as output...
or have a search on net for hacks (usually remote control) for your dvd player - most are locked to a region and usualy putting in a code unlocks them for all regions.

It´s not a region problem... ive already done that and unlocked all regions... problem is that there is also this Pal NTSC problem which a hack won´t fix...
my dvd player plays all regions, but only NTSC dvds...

yo for help check out the forums here - www.nerd-out.com these guys are great. Alternatively you could buy an Apex player that will play PAL format DVD's on an NTSC television. They are pretty cheap and easily hackable to remove the region coding and macrovision as well.

if I want to reencode a PAL dvd to NTSC, I will use Nero, right before you burn the disc, it asks if you want to change from PAL to NTSC.... another alternative is this... go to www.videohelp.com and see if your DVD player is listed under DVD hacks forum... I found a hack for my Samsung player that lets it play NTSC or PAL discs! works great now!
