hi chaps,
Just wondering, i have a brand spankin' new 32" lcd tv with dolby 5.1
and dts dvd surround system ( bloody amazing!).
i watched saving private ryan last night on it and the 5.1 surround is
UNBELIEVABLE, all the sounds are split into seperate channels and it
just sounds unbelievable.
My question is...... have oasis ever recorded / has anyone ever mixed
any oasis tunes in dolby 5.1 stereo or dts i.e with vocals coming from
front centre speaker, bass coming from surround right speaker, lead
guitar coming from left surround etc.?

has anyone got this? its a dual disc clainimg to have the full album in 5.1 surround sound?
any good anyone?

If you have a SACD player Morning Glory is available from play.com, which is 5.1. Also the DVD Audio of Hindu times is available from the same site.
Also as far as I'm aware the defintely maybe dualdisc is on enchance stereo not 5.1??

Whats an SACD player ?
i just have a dvd player that will play mp3's too.
i have the special edition def maybe dvd anniversary, iam at work at the moment and i cant remmember wether that has been remixed in 5.1 surround sound.??

SUPER AUDIO COMPACT DISC. It is a format mainly used by Sony. It is basically a cd with multichannel (5.1) sound.
If you don't know if your dvd player supports it, it is very unliklely it will.
Although the as I mentioned you can get the DVD-AUDIO version of the hindu times from play.com which is in 5.1 and will play on all dvd players

There and then... is very good too! I got some tracks with just the voice (central speaker), just the chords (surround speaker), The Masterplan is great!

DVD FAM to Millions should have this! yes i have it and we have a 5.1 dolby stereo system the sound is fantastic, oasis all round the room but only the bass has its own channel, the surround speakers play the more or less the same excellent though, and saving private ryan is probably the best film to watch on this things, along with pearl harbour! its like th bullets are flying past your head. get armageddon too! awesome! |

The new dual-discs of DM and DBTT have the whole album in DVD 5.1 surround I think...

I bought a 5.1 Surround system to take to uni as my hi fi was to big. Theyre only small speakes but pack 200watt!!!
the first dvd i watched was saving private ryan, within the first 15 mins a lad 3 floors up had to come and tell me turn it down it was that loud! truly the best film to listen to in surround sound!
