Ok I wanted to replace windows media player with winamp and now Ive got winamp but windows media player won't go away , I removed it but it's still there....Am I doing something wrong or is it just one of those things that stick around until you die?

i don't think you can delete media player.

Just right click any music file, go to properties, and change the 'Opens With...' thing to Winamp
All you music should always open with winamp then.
Yeah I dont think you can delete Media player, I prefere using that for Video files anyway...

I think its because your running on a windows operating system so, Microsoft obviously want you to have their products on your PC. I may be wrong though

There probably is a way of getting rid of it (like windows messenger), but I wouldn't cus it'll probably mess up your computer if you wana watch videos, codec stuff etc.
