;D
I bet to half of you this is a silly question but:
"what are bit torrents and how do you use them?"
Any explanation or directions towards simple explanations appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Basically bittorrents are used to download torrents. These torrents are big files such as software, or music gigs. Plus games, movies etc

Thanks for the explanation, seems quite simple enough I suppose. Have some karma for your efforts!! Does it take "weeks" to get say a decent video boot of a gig??

No way. It all depends, on these things:
- how many seeds &downloaders there are. The more of these the faster it will go
-your connection. faster the connection the better the download
-your settings. if you change them to make it upload a certain amount it will download more.
All depends on the conditions really, but most of the time its quicker then downloading from yousendit if theyre big files.

Does it take "weeks" to get say a decent video boot of a gig?? i use it alot for getting the systm ( www.systm.org ) downloads, which are done by kevin rose and dan huard (who are both massive oasis fans btw, and dan looks like liam/ian brown) and they're tech shows. so those always download fast because every geek downloads them. then again, i been trying to d/l gta:san andreas for a month now
