I recently downloaded the gmex video gig and the knebworth one. i just bought a new dvd writer and i cant seem to put them onto dvd. can you put video files onto dvd straight away or do you have to format the disc or something first

the files need to be encoded so that a dvd player can read them
you can use dvd software if its more than one video and you want chapters
but if its one video use vsoDivxToDVD that converts your video to a vob file, then all you do is burn the video_ts folder onto the dvd.
hope thats a help

yes this does help thanks.
i am currently using ahead nero software. It does not let me burn my files onto disc. I want to have chapters on my dvd. does this mean i will need to change the file format. if so what format will i change it to and do you know any programmes that can do this.
Where can i get DIVX from??
