Awrite, how goes it? I'm James from scotland and I'm wanting to get as close as I can to the swirling rythm sound that oasis use on a lot of their early songs, especially columbia. I'm using an epiphone 335, and a 15W marshall MG (not the best, I know). I'm gonna get an overdrive or distortion pedal soon - maybe a boss OD pedal - but if anyopne can advise me on the best way to get this sound, with pedals, amps or settings, then I'd appreciate it.
LIVE FOREVER!

alright James? i'll have a look around some other forums coz i'm sure this kinda of question has been asked before. To be honest, i've never really tried getting an Oasis-type sound - i like more of a Hendrix/David Gilmour sound. but i could have a try at it I have a Boss OD pedal - its an old one but its pretty good. I think the Marshall should give you all the gain you need. Just start from a clean sound and keep adding gain and tone until you get near what you want. Maybe add i little overdrive on top of that. I'm not sure which pedals Noel uses, but with an Epiphone and a marshall you should be able to get a pretty good noel-esque sound
