Friends star Jennifer Aniston has been named the most powerful celebrity on the planet.
The actress and wife of Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt tops a list of the top 100 compiled by US business magazine Forbes. And while it may seem like David Beckham is currently the world's biggest star, Forbes puts him at a rather more humble 56th.
The annual Forbes Global Celebrity 100 ranks famous names from the worlds of showbusiness and sport.
Aniston has has risen from a modest number 28 last year to top spot.
Beckham appears for the first time and is relatively low down the list because he is not yet famous in America, despite a recent trip designed to raise his profile.
But Forbes predicts greater things for him, declaring the world-famous soccer star "is unknown in the US - for now".
Beckham's pop star wife Victoria does not get a mention.
Real Madrid's newest signing is one of a record seven British entries on the power list. celebrities are ranked according to their earnings over the past 12 months, plus factors including magazine covers, Internet site hits, press clippings and mentions on TV and radio.
Most powerful British star is Sir Paul McCartney, well placed at number six.
He wasn't on the list at all last year but his sell-out US tour and marriage to Heather Mills changed that.
The Rolling Stones are in tenth place, reality TV stars Ozzy Osbourne and family at number 12, and Harry Potter author JK Rowling appears at number 15.
Robbie Williams comes in at number 37 - described by Forbes as "Brit pop star with fans worldwide - except in the US".
But it is Aniston who tops the list after enjoying the best year of her career. The 33-year-old actress commands a staggering million dollars per episode for her role as Rachel in TV series Friends, which is to end next year.
While some of her co-stars have struggled to make the successful transition to the big screen, Aniston's role in last year's low-budget film The Good Girl was raved about by the critics.
She is also one half of Hollywood's golden couple after marrying Pitt three years ago.
According to Forbes, the actress, who earned 35 million dollars last year, shot to number one because she appeared on more magazine covers than any other star.
Her husband, however, doesn't appear in the top 100 at all. Rapper Eminem comes second in the list, together with producer Dr Dre, followed by golfer Tiger Woods and director Steven Spielberg.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have now earned the title of Hollywood's leading power couple, at numbers five and seven respectively.
But there is no sign of the star who headed last year's list, Britney Spears.
The one-time princess of pop has fallen off the radar after announcing last August she was to take a break from showbusiness.
