Mancunian monkey boys OASIS have confirmed that they are headlining the main stage at V FESTIVAL this year.

The bad-tempered britpop boys are looking forward to doing their thang at the legendary rock festival, and lo! That's not all, if you are heading to V you will also be serenaded by the likes of...

(deep breath...) Embrace, Maroon 5, fellow monkey boy Ian Brown, Texas (yeeha! Sorry.), Robert Plant (bow down and worship), Dizzee Rascal, Goldfrapp, Scissor Sisters, Athlete (sniffle!), The Zutons (toot!), Jet (yay!), Joss Stone (yawn), Kaiser Chiefs (check out the stage diving!), The Bravery (better eye-makeup than me! And that's saying something...), Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Doves, Thirteen Senses, 22-20s and The Music .

AND (drum roll purleease...) Franz Ferdinand will of course be co-headlining at the fest.

The event kicks off at Staffordshire’s Weston Park (August 20) and Chelmsford’s Hylands Park (August 21).

Ticket prices are £110.00 for weekend with camping, £90.00 for the weekend without camping and £52.50 for day tickets.

But it's selling out for God's sake, so just get on with it!
