can anyone explain why ticketmaster continually releases blocks of tix that u could not get on the day the sale started ...i am happy with my seats but it seams unfair that people who had to get sec 300 or 400 on day 1 of the sale have to watch as weeks later much better seats are offered to the slower fans i dont get it..these seats are not obstructed and should be available from the get go

It's hard to say... sometimes it's legitimate, like when tickets get returned undeliverable or the credit card charge doesn't go through for the first person that bought them. More likely though, a block of presale or otherwise pre-reserved tickets was returned unsold/unused to the promoter, who then authorized their release on ticketmaster to the general public. This is fairly common -- I think the first re-release of tickets was in response to high demand as those seats toward the sides of the stage with bad angles usually don't get sold, but I imagine the few rows that are coming up today are because some seats that were set aside for a presale, group sale, withheld by the promoter, venue, etc weren't needed anymore for whatever they were reserved for, so they were released. I know several people that have gotten great seats this way -- it kind of makes me wonder if they'll cancel anyone's fanclub order for scalping (just look on ebay, all the people selling floor seats that won't be delivered until June), and those seats will get released for sale closer to the gig -- that's kind of why I've been checking.
