Hey folks, Firstly, thanks for all the members that replied to my previous threads...your help was appreciated. Now the question. How far is Queens from Manhattan/MSG? Coming down for the gig and I could get a really good deal on a hotel room in Queens(essentially saving $100 a night for 6 nights) but if I'm spending an hour and a half on the train (subway) to commute than it might not be worth it. While I'm there I want to do all the usual touristy shit too...off broadway plays, museams ect. And is Queens a good neighbourhood to stay in? As in stuff to see and do...or is it like Scarberough to Toronto? I guess thats 2 questions...but thanks in advance.  |

Queens borders Manhattan but it;s huge , just like the out skirts of London...highways, residential areas, industrial complexes and airports. Skip the commute , pay a few extra bucks and stay in the center of the City that never sleeps , it's worth it . I live in North York, so I know what you're getting at, but Scarsdale's pretty good in terms of public transit, but I don't know about certain part over there...

Get a 20 min bus ride into port authority and either walk or take a cab to MSG. i know the motel your talkin about sal they charge hourly rates there i see...so i guess they got some happy hooker customers  |
