For pubs.... During the Broverly Love Tour, we popped into "The Irish Pub of Neew York City" and just missed Liam and some others. The bartender said that is where they hang out sometimes. The jukebox is nice too! Tons of OASIS. Cheers, Johnny Twice

Best hotel I've stayed at (bout 300-400 per night) was the Rhiga by the Ziegfield theatre. It's just up from Times Square around the corner from Letterman and Carnegie Hall and it's a bit of a best kept secret because it's not on the beaten path and doesn't have much of an entrance, which also attracts celebs. Celine Dion and Eddie Griffin were walking around when I was there.
Guaranteed to get you laid, it's all mini-suites with marble tubs and whatnot. Absolutely zero view so, if you want to look at the park forget it. If you want to smoke cigarettes, wear shades and have one kick arse base of operations, this is it.
That's where I'd be in NYC but, I got more party opportunity in Chicago so, I'll be a bit west seeing the lads after some Cubs and freaking Gino's East deep dish mania.

Sorry, it's spelled Rihga (dang Japanese) for those bothering to look up. Pricey but, if you can swing it you won't be disappointed.

Wow! That 60 Thompson hotel looks amazing but man....holy cannoly it's f-ing expensive. I need a place for 1 week so I probably can't swing it.
I've heard that the Red roof inn and the Pennsylvania (sp) are pretty good deals.
But then again it is New York right? $$$$$$$$$$$

The Gershwin's a nice hotel...it's all Pop Art...they have a soup can autographed by Andy Warhol... I think it's around $130 a night. The rooms aren't very big or glamorous but the building is amazing!

Thanks for the insight man. I'll look into the Gershwin for sure...$130 to $150 US a night is more up my alley. JUst out of curiousity...what did your mom dislike about the Penn?

As MacBeth once decried..."The bloody deed is done". Looks like a really cool hotel...The Gershwin it is. yeah it's not far off from anything...great location! I know my mom just didn't like the penn, and it takes alot to displease her as she's very easy going. I don't like it cos it's too far off from my favorite parts of town. The Gershwin really is cool...like I said very pop art...if you're in to that sort of thing you'll love it. The rooms are all hardwood and the beds are kind of creeky, but then again you won't be spending much time in there anyways. Plus the garden is right there. They have Factory photographs, and autographs all around. Make sure to take the stairs. Visit each floor, every hall way is different! I absolutely love it! I'm glad you're staying there.

Need the Sid and Nancy experience ...check into the CHELSEA Hotel on 23 rd and 8th ave , your ten blocks south of the garden and you never know who comes walking in and out of there, Slash, Lou Reed, Porno Stars etc. Quite an entertaining , charming RNR palace...
