The show should sell out. A few years back they sold out Radio City Music Hall with Crowes over a few nights. Plus last time they sold out the ballroom.

just to remove any confusion about the link to the news story going wrong the information is now on the main news page of the oasisinet.com site!
they must have been testing it this morning and now they've put it up properly ... well thats my guess anyway
so the good news is true!

This is the best possible news for an Oasis fan from New York...the Garden holds about 18,000 people for basketball and hockey games...I've dreamed of seeing Oasis there since I became a fan...Like someone said earlier, this is fucking balls for Oasis - going from Roseland and the Beacon in 2002 that hold about 3,000 to the World's Most Famous Arena....God, I love these guys - I'll be there, anyone who wants to have a booze up before hand, let me know!!

It is a great place to see a show although i really prefer the intimacy of a smaller venue. But hey, they are coming to NYC!!! I can't really complain. I'm happy!

just wanted to mention that they are not likely to be playing to the entire arena. MSG does this thing called the "theatre at msg" were they block out more than half the venue to allow for an intimate setting. the strokes shows this past october were like this.
considering the fact that the last few times they were in NYC they played Radio City and the Beacon Theatre that each hold only a few thousand this is likely the case.

if you go the site thegarden.com/boxoffice.jspit has oasis listed for the main arena, they have other acts listed for the theater. but i know what you mean about the beacon and Radio city.

The show on Toronto should be officially announced this Monday on 102.1 The Edge (Toronto radio station).
Hopefully I will be able to get the 17th of June off of work...

what they'll probably end up doing is curtaining off the uppermost sections, effectively knocking of several thousands right there. then they'll move the stage closer to "center ice" and not sell anything behind the stage.
as much as I'd like to see them sell out MSG, I just don't think it can happen
