People reckon Oasis never made it big in the States, but what's the biggest gig they've played over there?

people say that cause they didnt break out like the beatles ,stones did , and thats because they cancelled alot of gigs and didnt kiss radio execs asses so they arent played much at all on radio or mtv here,,but they nearly 4 million copies of glory here!! to put that in perspective coldplay have "BROKEN BIG " here and there last 2 lps combined barely come close to that number ;D so they made it here they just didnt try to be icons here cause u need to kiss way to much ass here, or be a preacher(bono), a pussywhipped fuck married to a star(martin), a hoodlum rapper(any rap star) or have a big ass (j lo ,beyoncee) to be big here thats what u need . AND 4 the attendance at there peek they played the big arenas whichj hold 15 to 20 thousand

This whole Oasis never broke the US bullshit always gets me. By the end of 1994 Definitely Maybe was certified Gold here in the US... that's 500,000+ copies shifted here. By the end of 1995 WTSMG had been certified triple platinum here which is 3 million units plus. Oasis had been by the end of 1996 to the US around 5 times to tour and had sold over 4 million records here. By the end of 1998 they had sold over 6 million records and ended a mostly sold out arena tour. As of now DM has sold over a million records here, WTSMG over 4 million and BHN over a million. Their time here was 1994 - 1998. They came, they conquered, and they faded back into the underground and now have a very dedicated cult following here.
