Regarding to attendance, as far as I know, there was a GIG from the Stones this year or last year in Canada, or somewhere I don't remember and 500,000 people attended that show. Now that is a MASSIVE number, half a million people only for one show? That is alot! But anyways, Knebworth with Oasis is historic, with Robbie its tragic

The Stones played with several other mega stars. I dunno if they would have drawn 500 k by themselves . Correct me if I'm wrong but it was a free concert ?

before robbie williams at knebworth, oasis had the record of the biggest attendance in the UK without regarding festivals... as for the rest of the world i don't know what the record is... we have to notice that oasis has beaten many records...

The largest paying audience ever attracted by a solo performer was an estimated 180,000–184,000, in the Maracanã Stadium, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at a Paul McCartney concert held on April 21, 1990. ...250,000 tickets sold out in two days, barely 1 in 10 of the 2.6 million applications for tickets were successful. Oasis at Knebworth was the biggest rock event in British history, defining a decade, defining a generation. In August 2003 Knebworth Park hosted the biggest music event in British history as Robbie Williams performed to 375,000 people over three days... So if my calculations are correct, then Robbie Williams was no bigger than Oasis, he had an extra day but they both had 125,000 for each day.

seen as the title of the topic of this thread is "Oasis back on top ...250 000 tix sold" they could obviously have dun 2 nites at knebworth (125 000 each nite) most probably a third.

Well it doesnt matter whether oasis play lots of small venues or whether they play few large venues, they are still the biggest band in the world. I hope they do add smaller, more local venues to their tour as this would be great later in the year. Also i've just finished watching england against spain and im getting pissed off with everyone having a dig at rooney. Why? He was the only fooker he showed any fooking commitment. Also if i hear any more shit from a jock (namely alan hansen) i knock the twat out. Drop Beckham he played bollox. And for the fact that the spanish are a bunch of diving racist vaginas, well. Sorry just getting carried away. Can we hear a chant of Robbie Williams is a wanker?

Also if i hear any more shit from a jock (namely alan hansen) i knock the twat out. great point , the thing i like about being in nyc is i fly over to the uk to see the big gigs (sat july2 ;D ) then get to see them hear in smaller venues like the beacon or paramount . the big gigs are great 4 the atmoshere and the small gigs are great 4 sound best of both worlds on rooney i saw the match at my pub and while your right he was the only one with passion there is a fine line between passion and recklessness if he plays like that in a qualifier for 90 minites he will accumilate many yellows and be forced to miss crucial fixtures. he reminds of becks in 98yes he has passion but it will be of no use if he cant play the next fixture. Drop Beckham he played bollox. And for the fact that the spanish are a bunch of diving racist vaginas, well. Sorry just getting carried away. Can we hear a chant of Robbie Williams is a wanker?
